If you were preselected as a mentee to March - June TesoXchange round, in this article you will find information about the next steps and the program timeline. Read it carefully before moving forward!
The next steps:
- Login in to TesoXchange mentorship platform (use NordLayer or Wireguard VPN to access it) and request mentors:
- February 14th – 21st, send requests to 1-3 mentors you prefer. You can follow the status of your requests here. If you want to contact mentors, you can use Slack.
- February 24th your request will be accepted/rejected. Please note that if one of the mentors accepts you as his/her mentee, the other mentors you requested won't see your requests anymore and won't be able to accept them. So, make sure that all mentors you send requests to are really the ones you want to work with.
- February 25th – 27th if needed, participate in the round 2 of the matching. In every program after the first round of matching, we still have several mentors and mentees without a pair. So, we give a couple of days for round 2. If that is the case for you, please review the database of mentors again and send requests to the mentors who are the right fit for you.
If your request is accepted by the mentor:
- Join kick-off: You will get an invitation to a mentorship kick-off meeting to discuss tips & tricks for mentees, goal setting & measuring results, and effective communication topics. We recommend it for all new mentees (if you joined TesoXchange before - you can skip this step).
- Review the guidelines in the platform.
- enjoy the Mentorship: your active cooperation with the mentor will take place from March 3rd till June 30th.
If your request is rejected by the mentor:
Mentors evaluate carefully if they can offer the skills and expertise you seek. So, it might happen that none of the mentors will accept your request this time. If this is the case, we are inviting you to use time wisely and boost your skills by reading books or attending internal training programs and we will be looking forward to receiving your application next round.
Use of the platform. We are using this platform for storing mentors & mentees profiles and matching process. After you are accepted by your mentor you can continue communication on Slack and schedule the meetings in Google calendar.
