Next steps for selected Mentors
Thank you so much for expressing your interest in joining the TesoXchange program in the March-June round!
Please find more information about the next steps and the program timeline below:
- Become a part of the Mentors community by joining the Mentors Slack channel and attending the Mentors' meet-up on February 18 (the invitations to both will reach you soon).
- Review the guidelines in the platform.
- Join one of the kick-off calls for the new mentors to discuss mentorship tips and tricks and get answers to your questions. Register for the session here.
Explore the timeline:
February 14-21
Review the requests you receive on the platform. If you need additional information from a potential mentee, feel free to contact them via Slack.
February 24
Accept mentees' requests:
- The functionality to accept/decline the requests will be activated only on 24th of February, so all mentees have a chance to view your profile and send requests.
- If you decide to accept several requests, make sure you have selected the right Number of Mentees under My Account.
- You will have to reject the mentees manually and will be able to send your reasoning to each of them if needed.
February 25-27
If necessary, participate in the second round of matching. After the first round, some mentors and mentees may remain without a match, so we allow a few additional days for a second round. If this applies to you, please review the new requests you receive, communicate with the mentees, and accept or decline the requests. In this round you can accept mentees at any time.
March 3-June 30
Enjoy cooperating with your mentee(s).
Use of the platform
We are using this platform for storing mentors’ and mentees’ profiles and matching process. After you have your mentee(s) selected you can continue communication on Slack and schedule the meetings in Google Calendar or other ways you agree upon.
